The new EU Common Evaluation Methodology (EUCAM) handbook will be soon unveiled!

As part of the European framework for testing on public roads developed by the EC-funded project FAME, the complete version of the European Common Evaluation Methodology (EU-CEM) for the CCAM handbook will be released in May 2025. This version of the EU-CEM handbook follows a previous draft version published in May 2024 and it will be fully presented in a webinar that will take place on 8 May 2025.
The dedicated webinar is organised to introduce you to the new handbook, its updates, and future developments, as well as how it will impact project preparation, evaluation setting, and other areas of CCAM.
The webinar will take place from 11.00 to 12.00 CET. You can find out more about the webinar here.
The EU-CEM handbook offers guidance for conducting effective CCAM evaluations, especially impact assessments. The handbook will guarantee high-quality evaluations that consider both direct and indirect effects of CCAM on users and non-users alike.
EU-CEM aims to ensure high-quality evaluations of CCAM. To achieve this, the initiative establishes minimum evaluation standards, emphasizes collaboration by sharing lessons learned and best practices, and encourages flexibility and agility in evaluation activities. It also focuses on ensuring the comparability and complementarity of these evaluations. During the webinar, key stakeholders involved in developing the handbook will share insights on EU-CEM, project preparation, and the process of creating an evaluation plan, which will include guidelines specific to different areas.
With the handbook, evaluations will provide more reliable input for decision-making and policy-making. EU-CEM will enhance exchanges and communication regarding project approaches and findings within the CCAM community and society as a whole.
