A warm welcome to the new CCAM projects iEXODDUS and RESKILLING!

We are excited to see these two projects embark on their journeys within the CCAM Partnership. With their strong focus on workforce development and technological advancement, iEXODDUS and RESKILLING are poised to make significant contributions to the future of mobility.
iEXODDUS: Infrastructure for the EXtension of ODDs – applied in connected and aUtomated driving and Standardization procedures
The iEXODDUS project, which began on 1 December 2024, aims to extend the Operational Design Domains (ODDs) of autonomous vehicles. This expansion will allow automated vehicles to operate safely and efficiently in more challenging environments, such as adverse weather, construction zones, or unmarked roads. By advancing sensor technologies and improving perception algorithms, iEXODDUS will create a robust framework to assess and categorize ODDs, overcoming the current limitations of automated driving systems. The project also focuses on harmonizing regulatory standards and fostering collaboration across industries to enable the widespread adoption of autonomous vehicles throughout Europe. This project is answering the same call as FRODDO.
RESKILLING: Research initiative for Enhancing and Adapting Workforce SKILLs for Implementing TraNsport Automation with Employment Growth
Launched on 1 January 2025, the RESKILLING project is focused on equipping Europe’s mobility workforce to adapt to the significant transformations brought about by the deployment of connected and automated transport systems. The project will address the socio-economic impacts of CCAM technologies and help businesses and workers navigate the challenges and opportunities these changes present.
By developing new tools and services designed for scalability across the EU, RESKILLING will support businesses and workers in enhancing their skills and adopting new business models. The project emphasizes inclusivity, co-creation, and social innovation, ensuring that Europe’s workforce can thrive in a rapidly evolving mobility sector. It is responding to the same call as CCAM-ERAS.
