i4Driving Summer School 2025

We are delighted to present the i4Driving Summer School, the 6th edition in the prestigious MULTITUDE series.

From June 30 to July 2, 2025, University of Naples Federico II’s Villa Orlandi in Capri will be the setting for a unique learning experience—where academic and industrial excellence meet, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Enjoy a fully packed three-day program with lectures and workshops focused on the probabilistic simulation-based assessment of automated vehicles (AVs).

Leading experts will share insights on human factors, traffic flow theory, calibration and validation, and the use of open-source and industry-standard tools (Opentrafficsim.org (OTS), AIMSUN, CARLA, dSPACE, OpenDRIVE, OpenSCENARIO, commonRoad).

Participants can engage in theme-based study modules, hands-on exercises, and group discussions while exchanging ideas with an international cohort of peers. Summer school is an excellent opportunity for those working in (or studying) AV simulation, traffic research, automotive R&D, robotics, or road safety.

Who should attend?

PhD students in HV/AV simulation, road safety, computer science, and robotics; automotive and traffic R&D professionals; and anyone seeking an in-depth exploration of these topics. A basic quantitative grasp of human factors in dynamic processes is recommended to maximize your learning experience.
